My Story

I have been a professional silk painter for 20 years and this website contains a gallery of my recent silk paintings, information about my forthcoming shows; a schedule of silk painting workshops and an online shop where you can purchase limited edition prints and cards.

Silk painting is a passion and I was hooked as soon as I began my first silk painting. I try and pass on this enthusiasm for the medium to my students and hold regular silk painting workshops for all levels of experience at my studio in Buxton, Derbyshire.

If you visit the Peak District, I hope you will take the opportunity to see my work - it's available all year round at several venues including Gallery in the Gardens, Pavilion Gardens, Buxton and the Macclesfield Silk Museum. I also welcome studio visits by appointment. But if you can't make it, don't worry, I put all my new work in the Gallery pages and the online shop is regularly updated and I aim to deliver any orders within 7 days.

I am an active member of several organisations with whom I regularly exhibit - The Guild of Silk Painters (Cheshire Branch) and Peak District Artisans - an association of professional artists & makers from the Peak District (formerly known as Peak District Products).
